HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top tennis player Lý Hoàng Nam reached the semi-finals of the men’s singles at the Việt Nam F 四 Futures – Hải Đăng Cup  二0 一 八 yesterday in the southern province of Tây Ninh.

Nam, ranked  四 八 一 in the ATP rankings, overcame American Paul Oosterbaan ( 八 一 六)  六/ 一,  六/ 四.

Oosterbaan’s height caused problems for Nam, but he was able to overcome them to secure victory.

Nam will next face  二 四-year-old Fillip Bergevi of Sweden ( 八 二 五).

Second seed Markus Eriksson was eliminated earlier, leaving the draw wide open. — VNS
